Privacy policy
This notice explains how Hien Nguyen (“we”) handles information for Pulse Score. It takes precedence over the general hiennv.dev policy for this app. Contact: contact@hiennv.dev.
Information used to provide the app
Pulse Score stores preferences, favorites and cached match data on your device. To deliver personalized match alerts and Live Activities, our backend processes app-generated installation/user identifiers, selected team, league and match identifiers, alert preferences, language settings and Apple push/Live Activity tokens. These identifiers can relate activity to the same app installation even when you have not created a named account.
Network requests expose an IP address and technical request information to the services handling them. We use device/app attestation information and security tokens to verify legitimate app requests, prevent abuse and protect the service. We also process subscription product and transaction information needed to verify Pro access. Apple handles payment-card details; we do not receive them. If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to send.
App analytics
Pulse Score uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used and to improve it. The Analytics SDK assigns a random app-instance identifier and records app opens, sessions, screens viewed and actions such as completing onboarding, following teams, leagues or matches, changing alert settings, starting Live Activities, sharing a match, opening the app from a widget or notification, viewing the Pro offer and the outcome of a purchase attempt. Events can include the identifiers and names of the teams, leagues and matches involved, and the product, price and currency of a purchase. They do not include text you type, such as searches, or our backend installation identifier.
Google also receives device and app details such as model, operating-system version, language and app version, and derives an approximate location from the IP address. If you allow tracking under App Tracking Transparency, Google Analytics can also collect the device advertising identifier. AdMob ad requests and impressions are recorded in Analytics for measurement. Where Google's consent requirements apply, analytics data is not used for ad personalization unless you consent.
Advertising, consent and tracking
The free app includes Google AdMob advertising and Google's User Messaging Platform consent flow. Google Mobile Ads may process IP-derived general location, device or app identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, product interactions, crash information and performance diagnostics for advertising, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention. Some advertising processing can qualify as tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
Pulse Score requests Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission before obtaining permission for tracking on iOS, and uses Google's consent flow where applicable. Declining tracking does not prevent use of the app; ads may still be shown subject to consent and platform rules. Manage tracking in your device's Privacy & Security settings. Pro removes in-app ads while the entitlement is active; it does not disable the network and security processing needed to operate the app.
Services we use
- Google AdMob and UMP: advertising, consent, measurement and fraud prevention. See Google's iOS SDK disclosure.
- Firebase App Check and Apple App Attest: device/app verification and abuse prevention. App Check is not a login system.
- Google Analytics for Firebase: app usage, purchase and advertising measurement. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
- Cloudflare: API delivery, security and backend storage.
- Apple: push notifications, Live Activities, StoreKit subscriptions and platform services.
- Football data providers supply match information and images. Requests to provider or image-delivery endpoints may expose network information to their operators.
Purposes and sharing
We use information to provide scores and personalized alerts, verify purchases, serve permitted advertising, understand how the app is used so we can improve it, keep the service secure, diagnose problems and respond to support or privacy requests. Information is processed by the providers described above as needed for those purposes. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service. Advertising-related sharing is governed by the applicable consent choices and platform rules; this notice does not make a blanket “no tracking” promise.
Retention and deletion
Local settings and caches remain until removed by the app or device. Backend notification registrations, preferences, security records and purchase-verification records may persist beyond app deletion; retention depends on their operational, security and legal purpose. Deleting the app does not cancel subscriptions or automatically delete all server-side records. Google Analytics keeps event-level data for up to 14 months under our property settings; aggregated reports are not subject to that limit. Deleting the app stops analytics collection, and a reinstall receives a new app-instance identifier. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information associated with your installation. Data that providers must retain under their own obligations is subject to their policies.
Your choices and rights
You can change followed teams and notification preferences in the app, disable notifications or tracking in device settings, and manage subscriptions with Apple. Declining tracking also keeps the advertising identifier out of analytics; where shown, Privacy choices on the app's About screen reopens Google's consent options. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy authority. Contact us with your request. Some records may need to be retained for security, dispute handling or legal obligations. You can continue using core score features without consenting to tracking.
Children, security and international processing
Pulse Score is not designed specifically for children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information that should be removed. We use transport encryption, access controls and app verification; no system guarantees absolute security. We operate from Vietnam, and service providers may process information in other countries under their applicable safeguards and policies.
Changes
We will update this page when practices change and revise the effective date. For material changes requiring consent or notice, we will use an appropriate in-app or other available notice. Questions: contact@hiennv.dev.
