Email support

Include your device model, iOS version, the app version (More → About) and the steps that lead to the problem. Never send your password, or a playlist link that contains your username and password.

SmartIPTV is a player only: it does not include or sell any channels, playlists or subscriptions. Use the playlist or login from your own IPTV provider. We cannot help with a provider’s channels, accounts or payments.

How do I add my playlist?

On the welcome screen, tap Add playlist; later, use More → Add playlist. Choose the type your provider gave you:

Channels appear as soon as the first part is loaded, and the rest keeps loading in the background.

The TV guide is empty, or the times are wrong.

Xtream playlists usually include a guide. For other playlists, or to add another guide, open More → Manage playlists and, under TV guide sources for the playlist in use, tap Add XMLTV URL. If programs start an hour early or late, set More → Guide time offset. Tapping TV guide in More downloads the guide again.

A channel or film does not play, or keeps buffering.

Try these in order:

Streams protected by DRM (Widevine, PlayReady or ClearKey) are not supported.

How does catch-up work?

Catch-up replays past programs on channels whose provider keeps an archive, usually for one to three days. Open Home → Catch Up, or a past program in the TV guide. If nothing is listed, your provider does not offer an archive for those channels, or no guide is loaded yet.

How do recordings work?

In the player, tap Record and choose a duration, or open an upcoming program in the TV guide and tap Record. Recordings are saved on this device and listed in More → Recordings, where you can play or delete them. iOS lets SmartIPTV record only while the app is open, so keep it on screen or playing until the recording ends. Some streams cannot be recorded; the app tells you when that happens.

Why did I not get a reminder?

Reminders use notifications. Allow them in iOS Settings → SmartIPTV → Notifications, and check that Focus or Do Not Disturb is not hiding them. Your reminders are listed in More → Reminders.

Picture in Picture and AirPlay

Both work with the Apple player, which plays HLS and MP4 streams. Streams played with VLC (TS, MKV and other formats) cannot use Picture in Picture or AirPlay. Chromecast is not supported.

Profiles, kids profiles and the parental PIN

Create profiles in More → Manage profiles; each profile keeps its own favorites and history. Set a PIN in More → Parental PIN, then use More → Hide or lock categories to hide categories or require the PIN for them. A kids profile shows only unlocked categories, and leaving it needs the PIN.

There is no PIN recovery, because SmartIPTV has no account. If you forget the PIN, deleting and reinstalling the app clears it, together with the playlists and settings on that device.

Can I move my playlists to a new device?

No. Playlists, logins, favorites and recordings are stored only on the device where you added them; there is no account or cloud sync. On a new device, add your playlist again with the details from your provider.

How do I change the language?

SmartIPTV is available in English and Vietnamese and follows the language chosen for it in iOS. Open More → Language and tap Open Settings, which takes you to iOS Settings → SmartIPTV → Language.

How do I report a bug?

Email the device model, iOS version, app version, the playlist type (Xtream Codes, M3U link or file) and the steps that lead to the problem. A screenshot or short screen recording helps; hide server addresses, usernames and passwords first. Read how we handle your information in our Privacy Policy.
