Unlock Box for iPhone and iPad
Effective date: October 11, 2026
Hien Nguyen / Banana Team (“we”) develops and publishes Unlock Box. This policy covers the game and these support pages. It explains the information used to run the game, show advertising and deliver purchases. It applies to version 1.0 and to version 2.0 and later; where the versions differ, this policy says so.
1. Game data on your device
You do not need an account to play. Your level progress, opened hints and skipped levels, puzzle-piece balance, sound and music settings, Remove Ads status, cached purchase entitlements, and the identifiers of purchases already delivered are stored locally on your device. Purchase identifiers prevent the same purchase from being delivered twice. We do not run a server for game progress, and the game does not sync progress between devices.
When you update from version 1.0, version 2.0 copies the progress saved by version 1.0 into its own save on the same device; the copy stays on your device. Device backups may include this local data, depending on your settings. The game does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photo library or precise location.
2. Advertising
Unlock Box shows ads from Google AdMob: interstitial ads between levels and optional rewarded videos. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process your IP address (which can indicate an approximate location), device information such as model, operating system and language, advertising or device identifiers where permitted, ad views, taps and other interactions, and diagnostic or performance data. Google uses this information to deliver and measure ads, limit how often ads appear, prevent fraud and abuse and, where permitted, personalize ads.
In version 2.0 and later, the game uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to ask for consent where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. When this applies, Settings → PRIVACY lets you review or change your choices. Version 2.0 also asks for Apple’s permission to track; you can change it later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you do not allow tracking, the advertising identifier is not shared, and ads may still be shown using limited or non-personalized data. Version 1.0 does not ask for tracking permission.
Rewarded videos are optional and add puzzle pieces or open a hint only after the reward condition is met. The Remove Ads purchase (version 2.0 and later) stops interstitial ads; you can still choose to watch rewarded videos. See Google’s Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from apps that use its services and AdMob’s iOS data disclosure.
3. Analytics and crash reports
Version 2.0 and later do not include a separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK. Version 1.0 was built with the Unity engine and includes Unity Analytics and Unity crash reporting, which may send gameplay and session events, device and operating-system information, purchase-related events and crash diagnostics to Unity Technologies. See Unity’s Privacy Policy.
If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your Apple device settings, Apple may provide us with crash reports and aggregated usage information. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
4. In-app purchases
Apple processes purchases through the App Store. We do not receive your payment-card details or your Apple Account password. The game processes product identifiers, transaction identifiers, purchase status and entitlement information to deliver what you bought and to restore eligible purchases. Version 1.0 handles purchases through Unity IAP, which uses the App Store.
Puzzle-piece packs are consumable: delivered pieces are saved on your device. Remove Ads (version 2.0 and later) is a non-consumable purchase that you can restore with Shop → RESTORE using the same Apple Account. Restoring does not return pieces that were already delivered or spent. Apple keeps its own transaction records; see the Apple Privacy Policy.
5. Support and this website
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and any attachments you choose to send, and we use them to respond. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or unrelated personal information. These pages are hosted by Cloudflare, which processes request information such as IP address and browser details to deliver and protect the website. These Unlock Box pages do not include advertising or analytics scripts. Links to stores and service providers follow their own privacy policies. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
6. Sharing, storage and retention
Information may be processed by the service providers described above to provide their services, by our email provider to handle support requests, or when necessary to comply with the law, protect rights, or prevent fraud and abuse. Advertising providers use information under their own policies and the choices you have made. Information may be processed outside your country.
Local game data stays on your device until it is overwritten or the app is deleted; deleting the app may not remove device backups or store records. Support emails are kept as long as needed to resolve your request and to meet legal or record-keeping obligations. Advertising, analytics and store data follow the providers’ own retention policies, and deleting the app does not delete data those providers already hold. We use reasonable safeguards but cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, including for advertising, or to data portability. Contact us at contact@hiennv.dev. Because the game has no accounts, we generally cannot link a device or its game data to an email address, and some requests must be made directly to Apple, Google or Unity. You may also contact your local data protection authority.
You can change ad consent choices when that option is available, manage tracking permission on your device, skip optional rewarded videos, and ask us to delete support emails you have sent. Deleting the app removes local progress and unspent puzzle pieces from that device.
8. Children
Unlock Box is rated 4+ on the App Store. It is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed specifically at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. Parents and guardians can manage purchases and tracking permission with Apple’s Screen Time and Family Sharing controls.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the game or its service providers change. The current version and its effective date will appear on this page. For privacy questions, contact Hien Nguyen / Banana Team at contact@hiennv.dev.
